Protein Conversion Supervisor
Job summary:? The Protein Conversion?Supervisor is required to have complete understanding of plant efficiency, production volume and capabilities, and tools necessary to achieve all of the Production Goals.
Summary of essential job functions
Monitors and evaluates shift?s production of finished product
Monitors inventory levels of incoming raw material and finished product
Supervises all employees on his/her shift to ensure production goals are met
Monitors finished product quality on a shift basis using lab analysis
Assists Plant Manager with strategic planning to maximize production efficiency, while minimizing its cost
Ensures production staff is trained on all Company, Departmental, and Safety procedures
Ensures all necessary housekeeping processes are completed during each shift
Leads and directs shift in efforts of reducing waste and recovering waste stream to lagoons
Works with Plant Manager to ensure there are SOP?s for all positions in the department
Any other duties as assigned by management
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
Must be quality and goal oriented
Good communication, computer, and team work skills are necessary
Must be self-driven and willing to work days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed
Must have valid State Driver?s License
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.? The employee is required to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.? The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.? The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.? Vision abilities required by this position are close vision.?
