Perform routine analytical chemistry tests in an accurate and timely manner. Be responsible for conducting routine quality control (QC) testing and recordkeeping in a safe, accurate and orderly manner. Conduct various wet chemical and instrumental analyses of samples for process control and final QC inspection. Ensure the accuracy of finished product analysis. Associate degree in science or equivalent work experience preferredPrevious experience with analytical testing preferredFamiliar with GMP/GLP (Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices) preferredUnderstanding of wet chemistry techniques preferredExperience with lab instrumentation preferredThe willingness and ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift including nights, weekends, holidays and on-call coverageActively participate in training efforts and safety initiativesAttention to detail following procedures, proper analytical technique and computer entryGood judgment in reporting errors, unusual conditions or events to supervisionCommunicate results, problems, and priorities to supervisor and production departments in a timely mannerStrong computer skills including accurate data entry and the use of databases and MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to follow complicated technical instructionsAbility to use mathematicsFlexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvementMaintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areasMaintain routine supplies in work area on each shift worked
Must have the ability to relocate equipment and supplies. Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. Involves standing for long periods of time.
