Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position:?Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Safe Feed / Safe Food system including animal food / feed safety fundamentals and the animal food / feed safety plan. Coordinate documentation for all SFSF system needs.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:B.S. in a scientific disciplineHACCP from Int?l HACCP Alliance approved course; Preventive Controls Qualified Individual from FSPCA approved courseBasic computer skills (MS Office proficiency)Excellent organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate with different departments to achieve objectives.Good math and organizational skillsCritical thinking; ability to multi-taskOn-the-job application of HACCP principles as it relates to the implementation of the animal food / feed safety fundamentals system central to the business?Key Personal Attributes Include:Driven; self-motivatedStrong sense of integrity and accountabilityCustomer-focused?Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the SF/SF systemUnderstand and demonstrate knowledge of FSC36 and its application to the facility processesAssume daily operation of the SF/SF system, documentation of all programs, inspections, verifications, etc. related to the animal food / feed safety manualCoordinate internal program audits, as required to ensure proper function of facility pre-requisite and other SF/SF system programsCoordinate annual review of all SF/SF system elements and ensure completion, including: Approved Supplier Program, specification review, SF/SF system management review, etc.Coordinate the creation / implementation of facility specific training to ensure competencies are metLead annual SF/SF audit preparation and executionUnderstand role in ensuring materials produced at facility is safe, including reporting any food / feed safety issues to senior managementResponsible for reporting food safety problems to management, up to and including stopping a production lineComply with all Feed Safety Guidelines, facility work rules, Standard Operating Procedures, FDA and OSHA guidelines, as well as Federal and State laws governing the workplace?Compensation and?Benefits:Competitive hourly wage ?(to be determined based on experience and other factors)Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offering?If you are currently a Wilbur-Ellis employee, please notify your Manager prior to applying for this position.
