Quality Assurance Manager
Purpose & Scope:
Manage the five basic Quality Assurance guidelines, USDA regulations, standard operating procedures, company procedures and policies, good manufacturing processes, and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) to ensure worker and company compliance with such standards.
?Enforces standard operating procedures, USDA regulations, company procedures and policies, sound manufacturing practices, and HACCP activities. Adjusts or corrects process to meet Quality Assurance standards.
?Submits Quality Assurance manuals when necessary.
?Monitors & Administers employee conformity with PQC(Product Quality Control) programs
?Conducts troubleshooting activities to identify current or potential food safety problem.
?Oversees product verification, ensures consistency with specifications.
?Specks with QA Supervisors regularly apprising department performance. Relays QA or USDA policy changes when necessary.
?Hires or submits new recommendation for new personnel, and promotes technical staff to supervisory positions.
?Responsible for controlling cost of lab analysis, labor and supplies within the QA department.
?Frequently exposed to all potential hazards (high speed machinery, sharp objects, chemicals, etc.) Required to be on feet most of the day
?Slippery floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise prevail.
?Pushing carcass and moving heavy boxes not uncommon.
?Employee will typically work 50-55 hours per week M-F with some weekend work if necessary.
?Minimum 4 years college experience with animal science or technological emphasis
?Minimum 5-6 years QA experience, substitutable with college level classes
