Key Tasks:Working Supervisor managing one lab technician (payroll, performance aspects, day to day routines)Own the quality complaint and follow-up processLiaising with chemical suppliers on incoming material requirementsAnalysis of Quality Assurance samplesAudit production lines for Quality Assurance (QA) parameters on start-up and randomly throughout the production runCalibration and Maintenance of Quality Assurance (QA) equipmentMonitoring Quality Assurance of raw, intermediate and finished products Lab and Safety supply inventory and restockAssist with formulation problems, batch calculations and correctionsAssist the production department if neededAssist with the annual safety and compliance audit Comply with Safety Rules & RegulationsOperate forklift when requiredBe knowledgeable of the chemicals Loveland Products uses and formulatesAlert to unsafe working conditions or employees working in an unsafe mannerAssist all plant personnel in seeking ways to eliminate waste and inefficiency Adhere to work and break schedulesShop order entry, validation, order processing, and receipt of plant raw materialsPerform such other duties as may be assigned from time to timeAssist in the maintaining a safe and hazard free work environmentGood housekeeping practices and clean work areas dailyCompliance with plant policies and formulation of each batch of productAttend production start-up meetings and conduct quality assurance checks on production lineOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift at least 50lb periodically during shiftAbility to stoop and bend frequentlyAble to climb stairs and laddersCapable of working in varying temperaturesGood manual dexterity and good vision & hearingAbility to walk and stand for long periods Training Requirements:Training in Hazardous Materials Hazardous Materials handling experience a plusEight-hour Haz-Mat training and refresher training annually Attend weekly safety meetings required Qualifications:Two year or four year college degree in ChemistryTwo years in a lab supervisory role or four years in a lab technician roleVery good attention to detailPhysically and medically capable of wearing respirator Good work habits, math, organizational and people skills Ability to read, write and understand the English languageProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Exce) a must, preferred experience with understanding/use of share point.Familiar with lab equipment, testing procedures, good quality assurance practicesDesire to manage personnel and processesExperience in lab equipment (Hach BOD/COD and TSS Machine, Carl Fisher water and acid titrator, Waste water pretreatment, Electronic scale use, Density meter, Emulsion testing, Ventilation hood, pH Meter, Turbidity Meter, Volatility Testing)Nutrien Ag Solutions, a Nutrien Company, is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
