Quality Assurance Technician – 3rd Shift
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance & Food Safety Technician to join our team on the second shift. As a Quality Technician, you will provide support to the Madison Operation???s Quality and Food Safety Assurance Systems; including daily Quality Assurance support of ISO 9001, ISO FSSC 22000, FAMI-QS, TGA, NSF, and other systems and certifications in place or planned at the facilities. In this position you will be a member of the Plant Operations Quality Assurance and Food Safety Team. This position operates Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6:30am. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Understands and applies Good Manufacturing Practices for the care, handling, and storage of food products; and report any known or observed violations to management. Utilize HACCP protocols in everyday work routine to ensure adherence to HACCP plan, oPRPs, and Pre-Requisite programs (PRPs)Performs production room and equipment pre-operational inspections and sanitation verificationPerforms environmental sampling of the facility including air and water sampling, and swabbing of equipment, allergens, and non-process areasAssembles and reviews production batch records for QA approval, ensures adherence to the HACCP plans, and works with production team members as directed to correct and prevent errorsSupports internal audits for GMPs and PRPs, including performing glass and brittle plastic inspections and GMP inspectionsSupports QA training programs, including scheduling, promotion, creation and review off quizzes, and tracking and reporting of completionSupports the maintenance of the documentation and record control, including review and archival of records, including review and archival of inspection, sanitation, and calibration recordsPromotes adherence to Quality and Food Safety programs and communicates changes to plant staff and operatorsAssist Quality Assurance efforts by being responsive to any problems relative to Quality and Food Safety and quickly and efficiently alleviates and reports difficulties as necessary.Participates or contributes to QA and Food Safety Team efforts by providing input and tracking dataParticipates in QA team meetings to help outline work schedules and priorities.Assists in recommending and ordering suppliesBacks up team mates on other duties or other shifts when neededAttend internal/external/online trainings as required to acquire or maintain qualificationsComply with all Company policies including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding Safe working practices and a drug free work place, as well as DuPont???s Quality and Environmental Policies and procedures.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Should have at least 2 years of related work experience and possess a minimum of an Associate???s degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or Food Science.Must have the ability to work as an active team member, as well as independently.Must have strong math and good communication skills (both verbal and written).Should have experience in a manufacturing facility with some fundamental knowledge of Quality Assurance, experience with Management Systems such as ISO 9001, and working knowledge of HACCP food safety programs.Experience in manufacturing of dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products is preferred.The DuPont Nutrition & Health plant located in Madison, Wisconsin, USA manufactures a variety of food products and ingredients used in everyday food items, many of them found in local grocery stores including: starter cultures used in the production of cheese, yogurt, buttermilk, sour cream; probiotic cultures used for their health promoting effects on the digestive system of humans and animals; and other food ingredients such as food antioxidants for food preservation and enzymes used in cheese manufacturing.Apply for this job.
