Conducts routine and non-routine analysis, including but not limited to biochemical and chemical analysis, of raw materials, in-process items and finished product according to established operating procedures. Compiles data for documentation of test procedures that may include stability program testing and formulation studies. Calibrates and maintains lab and analytical equipment. Participates in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities. Revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed. May perform special projects on analytical and instrument problem solving. May develop testing and analysis methods and procedures in accordance with established guidelines.

* Perform, document, analyze, and report Quality Control testing per approved methods * Assist with writing, reviewing, and facilitating the development of Quality System documents and records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, while incorporating industry best practices. * Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of FDA and applicable international policies and regulations that may affect the company”s products and customers. * Assist in administering the company”s product Stability Program in compliance with applicable regulations and proactively notify appropriate functional management of emerging issues. * Support the company”s Proficiency Testing program. * Act as backup for QC manager in absence of Staff Analyst

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position.
* Undergraduate degree in engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemisry sciences. * Relevant advanced degree preferred. * Relevant experience in Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical and/or Animal Health industry * Working knowledge/fluency of Quality Management Systems. * Three or more years of QC Lab experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS and COMPETENCIES REQUIREDIndicate the technical skills required and/or preferred, as applicable.Include skills and knowledge essential to perform the position.
* Strong attention to details and ability to understand and follow complex procedures. * Strong technical skills including basic statistical analysis. * Sound working knowledge of regulations pertaining to QA and related compliance requirements. * Working knowledge and experience in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. * Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills.

* Site based position * This position will require fluent use of teleconferencing and Webex tools, as well as Sharepoint technologies, to share and manage information with Global Quality Centre Organization and other Zoetis internal manufacturing network. * Frequent sitting and standing while performing experiments. * Able to walk approximately 1 mile per day, and lift up to 10 pounds
