Quality Line Inspector
Helena Industries, a national agricultural-chemical company, has an immediate opening for a Quality Line Inspector at our West Helena, AR. This positions performs routine checks, tests and inspections of materials, goods in process and finished products. Performs work in a safe, responsible manner by following all safety rules and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Performs assigned routine tests and visual inspection on goods in process and finished goods to insure product meets customer specifications. This includes the following:Checks and records weight.Checks all printing to ensure proper label, lot number, etc. on box, bag, jug, etc.Checks for leaks, indentations, tears, etc.Checks seal on bags, caps (i.e., seal tight, correctly glued/stapled)Checks pallets of product for proper labeling and packagingNotifies Line Supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.Records results on inspection forms and inputs data into computer systems.Calculates and records basic statistical information and inputs into computer systems.Assists with quality performance audits.Maintains a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits.Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.Reliable and regular attendance is expected. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Good mathematical skills.Strong detail organization.Ability to stand for long periods of time in extreme hot or cold temperatures.Must be capable of passing OSHA respirator physical.Must be available to work rotating shifts as scheduled.
