This support will enable Syngenta to create superior Corn, Soybean and Wheat products. Trialing Managers and Individual will have targeted goals for precision, accuracy and efficiency in site operations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Functioning as an integral member of a team responsible for packaging, planting, sampling, note taking, harvesting yield trials, and breeding nurseries.
Operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery, and/or agricultural research equipment.
Supporting efforts to maintain integrity of seed inventory, packaging, field layout, threshing and data collection.
Performing all tasks and behaving in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety and stewardship related company policies and practices, including completing all required company training courses.
Overseeing tasks completed by third-party contract labor to achieve desired results. Skills:
. B.S. or A.S. Degree in an agricultural related discipline preferred; candidates with relevant agriculture experience may be considered.
Ability to work around and participate in planting, hauling and harvest activities with agricultural research equipment.
A valid drivers license with an acceptable drivers history and the ability to obtain a class A CDL.
A basic understanding of plant genetics and breeding is desirable.
Clear understanding of the practices and procedures that affect trial data precision and accuracy.
Understand and use modern agronomic practices. Understands basic agronomy for wheat, corn and soybeans production and terminology.
Understands basic wheat, corn and soybean seed production techniques and terminology.
Ability to use MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Power Point and other standard office software; ability to use and support proprietary IT systems.
Ability to effectively communicate regularly with peers, breeders and supervisors regarding the status of projects and work activities.

Experience in the operation, adjustment, maintenance of and ability to do minor repairs on various plot equipment, including a planter, tractor, sprayer, combine, truck and trailers.
