Refrigeration Design Engineer
The Refrigeration Design/Project Engineer will be responsible for: * Planning, designing and project management of refrigeration systems for commercial and residential markets. * Help drive new product development opportunities and plans * Engage the production facilities in personal development, mentoring, and training in regards to refrigeration activities * Troubleshooting of refrigeration systems * Analyzes data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal * Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout, detailed drawings and schematics * Uses computer assisted engineering and design tools and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.Experience requirements for the Refrigeration Design/Project Engineer are: * BSME from an ABET accredited school.
* Preferred MSME with a focus in thermodynamics or thermo-science * Minimum of five years of product design * Thorough understanding of applicable NSF, UL and Department of Energy (DOE) requirements * Strong knowledge of complete refrigeration systems for commercial and residential use. * Must be fluent in English; second language is a plus but not required * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written work * Ability to influence at all levels of the organization * Proven track record of successfully working in and influencing cross functional teamsThe work environment the Refrigeration Design/Project Engineer can expect are: * While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and to assist in the test lab * The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit * The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus * Some travel may be required.
