?Summary: ?This positions reports to and works in close cooperation with the Lead Electrician. This position, under the direction and guidance of the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operation of the HVAC and ammonia refrigeration systems of the facility by performing the following duties:?Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned:Start-up, operate and shut-down the refrigeration system safely and to ensure quality of customer products and energy efficiency.Perform limited electrical work, such as replacement of circuit components; that does not affect the design or integrity of the original circuit. Perform limited repairs to the refrigeration system.Observes and records pressures, temperatures, and electrical readings and adjusts controls to obtain specified operational targets.Inspects all refrigeration system equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.Inspects systems and their components (e.g. air conditioning, heating and refrigeration units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safety and identifying necessary repairs and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenancePrepares documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information. Working knowledge of EPA compliance, P&ID?s and PSM.Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 2 years? experience in Industrial HVAC and Ammonia refrigeration systems or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in refrigeration.Obtain RETA certification: Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) within (1) year of filling position.?Skills:?Language Skills: ?Ability to read, comprehend and write in English instructions, correspondence, and memos.? Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills: ?Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.?
