Regional Account Manager- Foodservice Chain

With headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, Bunge North America and its subsidiaries operate grain elevators, oilseed processing plants, edible oil refineries and packaging facilities, and corn, wheat and rice mills in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.Position Summary:As a Regional Account Manager, you will lead Bunge’s efforts to profitably grow with major regional chains in the assigned region by working closely with your teammates (Regional Development Manager and Inside Sales Representatives) to prospect, target, and develop new value added customer opportunities. This position can be based in Philadelphia, Baltimore or Harrisburg Core Functions:Be a catalyst for the change required to meet Bunge’s strategic objectives in the foodservice marketWork as a team with the RDM and ISR to continually prospect and develop new opportunities to grow Bunge’s market share through sales to multi-unit chain customersWork with the RDM to target and sell regional multi-unit chain customers to drive and secure distribution in the assigned regionSupport the existing business by selling Bunge and distributor premium brands to regional multi-unit chain customersDevelop new business of Bunge brands with scaled operators / regional chains (Top 150-500) in accordance with our distribution strategiesDevelop relationships with the customer’s key regional leaders in procurement, marketing and product development at multi-unit regional operatorsDrive customer focus by being the voice of your customers within the broader Bunge organizationPerform both prospecting and account management tasks such as customer insight gathering, price intelligence, forecasting, customer development planning, customer service delivery, and contract / price management among others Key performance IndicatorsNew accounts openedNew product/slot placementsVolume and total contribution margin growthValue added volume and contribution margin growthRegional market share of key customers and branded marketT&E budgetForecast accuracyCompliance to key business processes and controls Skill/Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; 4-8 years of foodservice sales experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, senior management, peers, and subordinatesDemonstrated business acumen with experience operating in a cross functional organizationProven experience driving value added sales through solution selling processesStrong customer knowledge and relationships across the assigned regionExperience managing a portfolio of products ranging from basic staple commodities to specialty value-addedExcellent organizational skills with a focus on delivering resultsDemonstrated teamwork and critical thinking skillsStrong proficiency in office productivity and CRM software Travel Requirements, if any (please indicate percentage):At least 50%Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
