Regional Field Product Specialist – Beef Market

Other duties may be assigned.Understand complete Kuhn product line marketed in North America and application needs, with a focus on products presented in the identified region.Conduct product presentations (group or individual) aimed at educating dealer personnel and regional field representatives on proper use, set-up, maintenance, and service of current and newly introduced products.Lead new product introductions in the field through demonstration tours, dealer days, field days, shows, etc.Support the sales activities and goals of both the North American sales team and the regional sales team by providing input on current and future product introductions and competitive reviews.Represent Kuhn North America (KNA) at farm and trade shows by assisting customers with technical inquiries.Communicate via in-person, email, or telephone to respond to inquiries regarding questions on product uses or applications. Forward all in-depth or complex service issues to the appropriate Technical Service Specialist.Assist in the product demonstration (including some equipment operation), new product set-up, training and product support of products marketed by Kuhn North America led by region or the training department.Implement required language translations for literature and price book materials.Conduct product evaluation and customer feedback on pilot products in development, when assigned.Identify and analyze business opportunities involving possible new products or current product line extensions.Identify competition s products, distribution system, market shares, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses and track them on a continuous basis.Continually investigate potential product improvements, enhancements, features, to the current product line to respond to changing market demands.Lead in customer follow-up after the new products have been introduced to the market to insure the product that was designed meets our customer s needsProvide regional input and update pricing based on market conditions, competition, available features, and margins. Forward pricing calculations to Product Management for review.Continually strive to find better ways to complete tasks and be the best in the industry.Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform to all quality and safety procedures.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience Extensive knowledge of the beef market is required and an associate s or bachelor s degree in agricultural mechanics, agricultural engineering technology, or animal science is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics/repair is preferred. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint), Internet, and e-mail (Outlook) is preferred.Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, blue prints, parts/service/engineering documentation, hydraulic and electric schematics, and short correspondence.? Ability to write standard service documentation.? Ability to communicate with dealers, customers, and other employees to gather and share information and solve problems.? Requires good telephone skills. French language capability is a requirement.Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.? Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.? Ability to take responsibility for the result of the decision.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Requires a valid driver s license issued in the state of the employee s permanent residence.? A CDL (commercial driver license) is a plus.Skills/Abilities – Ability to operate computer and telephone systems, photocopier, fax machine, and related office equipment.? Requires the ability to travel and a comprehensive understanding of company products in order to troubleshoot and diagnose product issues.?
