Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Regional Field Technical Representative, Seed Solutions (1805576) ? Indianapolis, IN Where the Chemistry Happens? In coordination with the RTP seed treatment Technology Team, you will manage all seed treatment product field testing (early pipeline through demonstration) within your local region, including internal BASF and 3rd party cooperator activities. You will manage local technical training activities for BASF internal staff and customers and manage local technical product stewardship. You will also coordinate interaction with local seed treatment influencers including Universities and support local the sales team with technical training and customer complaint management.Formula for Success: You Will?Support seed treatment product sales: Generate, summarize and present product performance data for BASF internal needs and customers. Lead local seed treatment technical activities including product positioning and recommendations.Technology exchange: Responsible for product training for local internal staff and customers. Provide regular updates to the RTP seed treatment team regarding local activities, product performance topics and customer needs. Manage field testing and demonstration activities: Finalize design and implementation of all technical field activities. Summarize and submit data to RTP seed treatment team.Manage technical influencer and customer activities: Responsible for local interface with University Extension Services, local recommendations and local influencer relationships. Place field research and demonstration trials/sites and manage data collection and reporting and budget. Support for product performance complaints: Upon request from local sales personnel, follow guidelines to investigate and provide technical expertise to ensure appropriate customer service.QualificationsPhD or MSc in a biological or agricultural science such as agronomy, entomology, plant pathology, nematology, plant physiology or similar.MSc: Minimum 6 years of experiencePhD: Minimum 4 years of experienceExperience in an agricultural field technical role is preferredTechnical knowledge of local and regional US seed treatment market, crops and pests, sufficient to guide research activities, train BASF internal team and customers, and provide technical sales supportTechnical training and working knowledge (minimum 2) of agronomy, entomology, pathology, nematology, plant physiology, etc.Strong communication skills and ability to influence and work well with others, in order to confidently provide a strong technical image for BASF seed treatmentsAnalytical and creativity skills to identify and drive new business opportunitiesAbility to operate experimental and commercial seed treatment application and testing equipment to carry out of the functions of the positionObtain and maintain pesticide applicator certification in the states within the territory in order to personally conduct, supervise or be involved in field testing or demonstration of BASF seed treatment productsStrong computer skills to manage seed treatment trial data, prepare summaries including promotional materials and training literature, and ability to communicate them in an effective manner.
