Regional Logistics Lead – #01GTA
North America Logistics is seeking a highly motivated individual to be the Regional Logistics Lead (RLL) supporting the US Logistics team. In this role, you will provide leadership for all aspects of the customer fulfillment and returns process for Seed and Traits deliveries. You will also advance our customer centricity in logistics operations. You will work through your team to solidify logistics as a competitive advantage. You will be responsible for balancing service and cost to meet the needs of our customers. You will be the face of logistics to assigned sales regions. Partner with other members of the logistics leadership team and key stakeholders to ensure adequate warehouse, dock and carrier capacity are available to meet the needs of your region. This role will also have brand responsibility for National, Channel and Regional Brands within their region of responsibility. Responsibilities:Lead Logistics for the area of brand focus. The main goal of this position is to work with a broad team to deliver Monsanto???s results and focus on servicing our customersStrengthen the customer brand experience through providing optimum logistics services to our customersFocus on simplifying, optimizing, and gaining efficiencies and synergies in the overall logistics processes as part of continuous improvement and brand differentiationContinue to optimize the cost of the logistics operations while improving the service level to our customersWork to leverage internal process across all Brands and BusinessesUnderstand and execute best practices around order management, inventory availability, load tendering, load planning and consolidation, dock capacities and product deliveryEnsure that Seeds and Traits business meets the quarterly targets, transparent communication with stakeholders, and make appropriate trade-offs to hit the targets. Collaborate with other teams (Geo Ops, Demand Planning, Finance, DRP, Manufacturing, etc) to align business strategies with resultsHelp develop and manage the logistics operations budget and long range plans and all related fiscal forecasting and planning activitiesThis leadership role assists in the development of key operational metrics to support management reporting and ongoing continuous improvementBe a focal point for logistics questions for the 3 regions assigned and attend RLTs, customer meetings, etc as time allowsAbility to build relationships quickly to ensure appropriate communication with key stakeholders.Represent logistics on appropriate cross-functional teams and projects as assigned.Qualifications:Required Skills / Experience: Minimum of 10+ years experience in logisticsBachelors Degree required (Agricultural, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management related). Masters Degree PreferredBroad range of computer skills??? such as databases, spreadsheets, statistics applications, Outlook, etc. Ability to learn other applications quickly.Understanding of Customer service and supply chain basic conceptsStrong quantitative, analytical
and decision making skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPrevious demonstrated people leadership required Desired Skills / Experience The ideal candidate will have prior project management experience and be able to develop relationships and open lines of communication within all required internal and external networks.Knowledge of the seed and chemical cycle from production through distributor / dealer networkAbility to travel away from St. Louis up to 15% of timeWho is Monsanto?
