Regional Quality Manager-Western RegionADM MillingThis is a full time exempt level positionPosition Summary:This person will take the lead role in maintaining and improving our divisional quality data systems. The candidate must effectively communicate horizontally and vertically throughout the organization and to routinely report back to upper management.
The candidate must be change oriented and drive continuous improvement in their area of responsibility. The candidate will be responsible for supervising Quality/Food Safety managers in the western U.S. region. Job Responsibilities: Develop, coach and lead QFS colleagues, including on-site visits to support GMP, QMS, and Food Safety programs.Establish performance goals for the QFS team making sure key objectives of the business are met.Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, customer and 3rd party audit requirements.Work with and support Technical Services group in Overland Park on projects, programs, new technologies.Ensure standard laboratory methods are implemented and training records are current for all laboratory colleagues, implement new technologies to align with corporate initiatives.Establish reports to show laboratory accuracy and timeliness with continuous improvement opportunities identified.Drive root-cause identification and corrective actions for quality incidents and customer complaints, identify opportunities for improvement based on trends.Coordinate sanitary transportation program and audits for carriers, wash stations, maintenance facilities.Lead by example keeping safety and environmental objectives at the forefront of what you do.Job Requirements: Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent degree with quality assurance experience.A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience.The candidate should possess a solid understanding of chemistry fundamentals (AACC or AOAC methods) as well as knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA, GLP, BRC, AIB and other regulatory requirements.Understanding of or the ability to learn the wheat milling and bakery mix processes.Must be familiar with near infrared analytical instrumentation.
An understanding of bakery ingredient interactions and functionality is an asset.Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems is preferred.
Must be able to use all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite applications and a willingness to learn and become proficient with in-house programs presently used and/or under development at ADM including data base management.Must be able to supervise various mill laboratory managers. Motivate and lead direct reports and demonstrate leadership qualities to all plant personnel as needed.Exceptional organization skills needed in order to maintain lab data and generate reports as required to fulfill the plant, customer and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication skills. Physical Requirements:The physical requirements of the job requires ability to climb stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., prolonged periods of standing and sitting, computer work, meeting deadlines, providing calculated information, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, working adjusted hours, and working as instructed. Prompt attendance is a must. Physical qualification
