Regional Sales Leader (Agricultural Supply Chain)

Provide regional sales leadership and direction in the areas of Safety, Strategy and Customer Management, Process and Productivity (leveraging segmentation and Salesforce.com), Sales Talent Management (with emphasis on recruiting, developing and engaging a high performing sales force) and Metrics and Rewards (ensuring effective goal setting and understanding of sales commission plans).?Work in close alignment with, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Merchandising functions to achieve overall results through the Sales Team.? Deliver against agreed upon business goals and drive consistent execution of critical processes and systems in a manner that aligns with our values of safety and being the ?Partner of Choice? for our customers.? Understand and drive profitable growth through both traditional volumes and value-added solutions across grain and market advisory services.35%?Provide direct and indirect leadership to a team of Sales Leaders and Sales Professionals to safely and productively accomplish growth of the business through increased volume and value-added solutions, and a superior customer service experience. Partner closely with others on talent management areas for sales team to ensure effectively sourcing, selecting, developing, and retaining high performing sales force.35%?Participate as key member of the Regional Leadership Team representing the sales function and team to ensure its aligned, demonstrating the traits of a safety champion and enabling the business goals and growth strategy.? Strong collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Merchandising etc.15%?Provide oversight of multiple sales compensation plans in close partnership with others to ensure consistent stretch goals are set and appropriate customer assignment is in place, resulting in each individual on the team being compensated fairly for their contributions and results.15% Lead complex change and collaborate within the Sales function and across the entire business to ensure continued improvement in all areas of the Sales Effectiveness best in?class model (Strategy and Customer Management, Process and Productivity, Sales Talent Management and Metrics and Rewards).#LI-JK1Skills:
RequiredBachelors Degree or equivalent experience3+ years of proven sales professionalism, being an active leader within a sales team and a champion of multiple product line success with farmer customProven ability to form and grow positive relationships with peers, support roles, other fuctions and customersDemonstrated ability to effectively lead a high performing team, including strong focus on recruiting, developing and coaching of talent??Proven ability to influence larger team with and without direct authority?Broad knowledge of Cargill?s (or equivalent) Sales Effectiveness best in class model and Sales FrameworkBroad knowledge of the Product Lines (e.g. grain origination and marketing solutions, crop inputs and agronomy, crop insurance, and market advisory services)?Broad knowledge of sales contracting process and customer service support offeringExperience managing and leading teams through changeAbility to travel up to 30%?Preferred5+ years of proven sales professionalism, being an active leader within a sales team and a champion of multiple product line success with farmer customersWorking knowledge of segmentation, Incent and commission plans, Salesforce.com
