Regional Sales Manager – Fresh/Prepared Foods – Midwest
**This role is for the Mid?West territory – Candidate should live in one of the following states:?Wisconsin, Illinois , Indiana**
The purpose of this position is to plan and carry out and direct marketing and Foodservice sales activities for a multi-state sales region as well as the independent distribution segment in accordance with agreed upon business plans. Also, to lead and manage all aspects of our sales agencies, to include managing market growth plan, operator programs, samples, and product training.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist management in establishing sales budgets and quotas
Accountable for establishing and managing sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales quotas including developing annual business plans w/broker ?????????????????????????????????
Establish a communication process to effectively promote focus products (line capacity, excess inventory and aged inventory)
?Schedule monthly ?meetings/broker trainings to review business and monitor progress to goals.????????
Manage marketing(MDF) budgets to insure effective utilization in achieving sales goals
Approve and monitor sample spend to adhere to sample budget goals
Establish and manage key operator account base with broker in CRM system
Build plan and respond to all sales inquiries and issues from Independent group members in a timely fashion
Implement Sysco/USF & IMA initiatives with Pilgrim?s team member
Communicate quality issues to appropriate product manager
Manage excessive product shortages with broker and operators to establish recovery plans
Request price exceptions for market/fixed pricing and communicate to broker/customer
Maintain direct relationships with key operators in region
Manage all KPIs to work towards achieving each established goal
Forecasting ? continually updating / managing towards overall company goal
Independent Distribution Management
Regular communication with Independent group management
Build direct relationships with key independent distributors in region
Manage product mix to achieve overall margin goals
Rollout promotions and buy in opportunities
