Regional Sales Manager HQ FG North Atlantic

We currently have a position available in our North Atlantic Region (New York, Boston, Newark). SUMMARY The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible and accountable for achieving revenue and profit goals of food service accounts within an assigned geography. Through the use of robust analytics and strategic customer insights, the RSM will provide effective leadership for distributors, brokers and in-market street sales team in order to penetrate, develop and grow key product categories. Serve as a Simplot brand ambassador and drive sales for the portfolio of products that Simplot offers including frozen potato products, roasted and straight pack frozen fruits and vegetables, avocado products, dehydrated potato products, and specialty products. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide effective leadership and selling techniques to market teams in order to penetrate, develop and grow key product categories and business segments.
Provide direction and collaborate with internal cross functional teams to deliver regional plan.
Ensure sales forecasts and profit targets are met by analyzing results and recommending to regional team the direction needed to correct any deviations to plan.
Develop and maintain focus customer relations through frequent contact and business reviews within assigned geographical area. Develop and execute plans to grow business with existing and new customers.
Responsible for managing departmental budgets, both internal and customer facing, to deliver against regional goals.
Accountable for monitoring, reporting, making recommendations and taking appropriate action to ensure the success of the regional sales plan through clear, accurate and timely communication in conjunction with overall business Strategy.
Effectively manage pricing decisions that are within finance parameters and ultimately deliver profitable revenue and growth.
Responsible for direct oversight of both Simplot resources and broker resources in assigned geography, which may include coaching, hiring, training, development, planning, assigning, and directing work, monitoring performance and holding teams and individuals accountable for delivering results, as well as addressing concerns and resolving problems within their assigned regional territory. REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelors Degree from a 4 year college or university, with MBA preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five years related experience in a foodservice environment, to include managing internal/external resources. Must have experience managing sales and profit and loss statements. Must be knowledgeable in the basic foodservice marketing techniques/tactics as well as the economics of the foodservice and retail trades. Experience leveraging data to drive sales plans, with strong learning agility to adapt based on fluctuating market conditions and customer expectations. Other: Extensive travel (50-60%) is required. Some weekend travel may be necessary.
