Regional Sales Manager – Oak Brook, ILThis is an exempt level position.Position Summary: The successful candidate will achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration managing sales and related responsibilities of select accounts as well as seeking out and calling on prospective customers. This position will report to the Director of Sales.Responsibilities include:Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business.Expected to travel to meet with buyer and upper management at corporate locations as well as visits to plant locations when requested.Gain deep knowledge or all customer locations and products they produce to recommend the best flour (or other ADM products) for them to use. Complete competitive analysis of ADM s competitors.Participate in trade shows, conventions, and conferences when needed to promote ADM products and meet with current and prospective customers.Provide pricing, market information and risk management alternatives.Develop clear and effective proposals/quotations for current and prospective clients.Plan and organize monthly work schedule to allow for travel to clients as well as prospecting.Preparation of tailored sales presentations to existing and potential accounts.Work closely with commercial, trading, quality, transportation and customer service departments to maximize long-term profitable growth.Submit activity and results based reports, weekly progress reports, and monthly, quarterly and annual account analysis reports.Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating results and competitive developments.Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.Keep abreast of product applications. Technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.Monitor and manage customer credit lines within established limits.Effectively manage expense budget to maximize results.
