Regional Sales Manager (West U.S.)

You will be responsible for the management of the Retail Sales channel for a geography, including covering all branded and private label business within the Retail Sales.Responsibilities:Develop, coordinate and lead region’s retail sales strategyParticipate in the identification of new business development opportunities and commercialization of new product initiativesBudget lead, ensuring efficient spend and providing ongoing tracking and managementMaintain and build strong relationships to maximize sales; draw on the expertise of cross functional business partnersParticipate in the development of sales business plans for Retail Sales to project sales volumes and marginsEnsure customer day-to-day needs are met by collaborating with all functional counterparts (Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Logistics)Lead a regional broker networkQualifications:Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline; a combination of education and related sales/account management experience will be consideredMinimum 5 – 8 years Consumer Packaged Goods sales experienceProven ability to grow sales and build account relationshipsKnowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry, the customer, the product and the competition is an assetStrong analytical, strategic decision making and problem solving skillsDemonstrated presentation and negotiating skillsMust be located in the western geographic regionMust be willing to travel up to 40% of work scheduleAbility to relocate in the future for promotional opportunities would be preferredRichardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.
