Regional Senior FSQR Professional (Northeast)

Position Purpose & SummaryLead internal and external
collaboration and connectivity in the Food Safety Quality and Regulatory (FSQR)?function to ensure leveraging
of best practice and consistency of FSQR policies and standards across multiple?facilities within a CAN
Business Region.
Responsible within a business
for the management of the FSQR function including: continuous improvement of?FSQR processes and systems,
implementing FSQR policy in the business, ensuring and auditing compliance,
assist?with FSQR talent selection and
development, customer specifications and quality issues and assist in managing
the?external FSQR environment.
?20% Ensure compliance of regulations/policies ?
assumes accountability for FSQR compliance, direction and activities across a
CAN Business region, assists locations to implement FSQR policies, regulations,
customer and supplier standards across multiple locations in CAN20% Perform prevention activities and issue
resolution ? following direction from CAN Business FSQR Manager, ensures
connectivitiy and collaboration between FSQR functions across multiple
facilities in a region, mediates and ensure resolution, leads CAN regional
crisis management team, directs work with suppliers/external manufacturers, proactively
anticipates risk and takes preventative action across multiple CAN business
locations, accountable for completion of facility audits and proactively
address risk areas30%? Develop, implement and assess processes/systems
? following CAN Business FSQR Manager, directs implementation of multiple
locations FSQR process/systems and management of change systems across business
region drives continuous improvement, provides input to CAN business leadership
related to base/non-base capital needs to maintain food safety leadership
position15% Shape food safety, quality and regulatory
culture/reputation ? responsible for building internal and external
partnerships within the region, ensure customer complaint issues addressed,
lead implementation of CAN business strategy across multiple locations in a
region to ensure a highly engaged FSQR workforce15% People/resource/budget management ? Assists with
talent selection and development of employees in FSQR organization for multiple
regional facilities; coordinates talent management efforts with other CAN
business FSQR leaders in the business region, build and develop effective,
engaged FSQR workforce across the BU, develop strategic and tactical FSQR plans
for BU in alignment with platform corporate FSQR and CAN business objectives,
key member of CAN business FSQR leadership teamSkills:
Required Qualifications?Minimum – Bachelor?s degree in Animal Science,
Food Science, Biological Sciences or related fields. Deep technical knowledge
in the areas of food safety, quality assurance and regulatory affairs.Minimum 5-8 years experience in Technical
Services, i.e., Quality, Food Safety, Auditing, etc.Intermediate HAACP Knowledge/Implementation –
Applies HAACP to identify & control food safety hazardsIntermediate Auditing/Compliance – Applies
intermediate auditing and quality compliance skills to identify and manage
risks/compliance.Intermediate Meeting Customer Specifications
Management – Interfaces effectively with customers; ensures products meet
customer specifications; answers questions & solves customer problemsIntermediate Managing and Improving Processes –
Delivers intermediate processing that are aligned, effective & optimize
Cargill resourcesIntermediate Plant Manufacturing Knowledge –
intermediate practical knowledge of manufacturing processes & operationsIntermediate Project Management – Applies
intermediate structured, disciplined approach to planning, administering and
completing projectsIntermediate Training – Delivers intermediate
learning solutions that engage leaners and provides desired outcomesBasic BusinessAcumen – Applies basic business
acumen to partner effectively with business counterpartsBasic Knowledge of Food Laws & Regulations –
Stays up-to-date and ensures compliance with food laws and regulations.Basic Product Information/Documentation –
Prepares product information and documentation that meet regulatory compliance
requirements.Basic Supplier Quality Assurance – Identifies
& addresses basic supplier quality issuesBasic External Partnering – Builds basic
relationships & negotiates effectively with external groupsBasic Scientific Knowledge – Applies basic
scientific knowledge & principles to identify & manage riskCapable to provide leadership/motivation to
engage employees in the business.Basic Risk Assessment – Conducts and
communicates the results of a scientific evaluation of the known or potential
adverse health effects resulting from human or animal exposure to food borne
hazards.Basic Knowledge of Quality Standards &
Quality Tools – Applies knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance
