General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Regulatory Compliance Manager will provide leadership and direction to a growing business to effectively manage the regulatory compliance of all stages along the supply chain. The primary emphasis of the role is to establish and maintain effective compliance processes and guide the organization s leadership into alignment with the best management practices. The position requires a strong hands-on approach to problem solving and responding proactively to the requirements both commercial and regulatory. Key Skills and Abilities Include:Minimum of five (5) years work experience managing regulatory compliance activitiesFour (4) Year DegreeWorking knowledge of CFIA, FDA, and State/Province regulatory framework for USA and CanadaRecent experience negotiating product compliance expectations with FDA and CFIARequires strong computer skills including Microsoft Applications Word, Excel and PowerPointDemonstrated capacity to facilitate training, process development, and problem solving in a decentralized work environmentKnowledge of JDE/similar ERP software preferredPosition requires a strong tactical approach to the Regulatory positionMust have strong change management skills.Hands-on approach required to ensure change management principals are followed and change within the Organization is sustainableAbility to accommodate global travel Key Personal Attributes Include:Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organizationHigh levels of integrityCapable of generating new ideas and solutions orientedAbility to present both strict and ranging interpretations of compliance optionsAbility to build strong vendor, customer, industry association, and regulatory agency relationshipsAbility to work in a team environmentHands on management style being a strong, engaged leader with direct reportsStrong work ethicA commercial understanding of marketing and distributionMust build strong relationships and garner support from the sales and marketing team working jointly to deliver product on time and in compliance Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Normal Operations Monitor Regulatory Entities Monitor Regulatory PublicationsResponsible for delivering product labels in a professional and timely mannerEnsure new product label requests are understood, processed and delivered to commercial expectationsResponsible for the production of all SDS sheets in a timely manner and ensure a process is established to ensure all SDS Sheets are distributed per regulation(s)Responsible for the production of Technical Data Sheets (TDS) in the initial stages and the development of a process to ensure continual compliance Assess existing compliance management systemsConduct assessments and audits of personnel, process, infrastructure, performance management, and governance related to regulatory compliance.Define RemediationLong Term Planning Objectives, Strategies, and TacticsReport to stakeholders regarding the impact of regulatory changesCreate or modify processes to ensure complianceVerify/Obtain LicenseProduce and monitor to ensure compliance of all current and future Company import and export permits, registrations, and other regulatory elements, in a proactive manner that meets the requirements of internal and external stakeholdersPublish RemediationCommunicate changes to the organizationInternal Influence Company leadership, ERMRespond to internal and external information requestsChange ManagementInfluence positive change externally by representing Wilbur-Ellis Feed, LLC to regulatory agencies, industry organizations, customers, and suppliers to drive outcomes favorable to the Company.Monitor impact of changes to organization, processes, infrastructure, policy, and regulations on regulatory compliance capability and facilitate responses as appropriate.Event ManagementEstablish tracking, reporting, and response process for excursions, eventsFacilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) eventsDevelop Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)Monitor CAPA s to ensure closure Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive annual salary (to be determined based on experience and other factors)All applicable company benefits including a company vehicle Wilbur-Ellis Feed, LLC is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington and is a marketer and distributor of value-added feed ingredients in North America and Asia-Pacific.
