Regulatory Specialist ? Erlanger, KY ADM Nutrition This is a full time, exempt position
MAIN FUNCTION: This position provides regulatory support and expertise, with a focus on TTB submissions and drawback, to ensure customer satisfaction and success of the overall business strategy of the organization.
The position requires overseeing compliance to government regulations regarding TTB as well as on customer documentation, food labeling, nutritional panels as well as international country review and compliance. This position will represent Regulatory in cross-functional Teams and communicate with management to maintain legal compliance and integrity for WILD/ADM.
Proficiency in TTB is mandatory and FDA/USDA regulations preferred. KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: TTB formula submissions and drawback oversight/submissionsAbility to lead cross functional meetings and clearly communicate 27 CFR ? Alcohol, Tobacco Products and Firearms regulations to non-regulatory audiences (Accounting, Inventory, Operations, Quality, Procurement)Possess knowledge of how to research regulations that apply to product portfolioProvide guidance on variety of regulatory topics during development to Sales, R&D, etc.Ability to focus priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal supervisionTechnical understanding of vendor documentation and regulation researchProvides attention to detail to minimize internal and external complaintsActively participate and contribute to team building efforts in the departmentUnderstand the importance of meeting department performance targets
DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED: Calculation of formulations and submissions to TTB Generate drawback submissions for multiple manufacturing sites to NRC Lead cross functional processes related to TTB complianceLegal evaluation of the company products for the intended industry Responsible for the creation, issuance and updating of product documentation. This could include documents such as specifications, allergens, GMO, labeling, country compliance, kosher, halal, SDS, nutritional information, country of origin and other Regulatory documentation to customers and technical personnel as neededCommunicate with external governing agencies and trade associations as requiredEvaluates formula revisions and communicates labeling modifications to customersComplies with the food safety management system and participates as required to ensure food safety and ISO/Food Safety certification.Perform other duties and special assignments as required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or other related field, or equivalent experience5 years experience dealing with TTB and regulatory compliance for food/beverage, flavor, or animal feed industryStrong math skills and attention to detail with independent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a team environment including excellent communication skillsRelocation assistance is available with this position.
