The Reliability Engineer reports to the Facilities Operations Manager and is responsible to successfully implement reliability requests for the business and associated global sites. In this role, you will provide integration support of new projects to the Maintenance and Operations departments Reliability Engineers as needed based on individual project needs to achieve a Highly Reliable Organization. You will be tasked to oversee, implement, track and verify the reliability goals and initiatives for new global projects and ongoing facilities related reliability concerns. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:Develop an in-depth knowledge base of the Corteva reliability goals including but not limited to reliability of systems and equipment related to critical equipment identification and tracking, failure mode and effects analysis, mechanical integrity and change management requirements. Determine critical equipment, include all new and existing projects and coordinate reliability needs accordingly.Drive effective use of CMMS and aids in developing a planned maintenance environment using CMMS tools. PM plans and work order systems.Work with project and facility engineers to ensure all reliability components are appropriately accounted for and documented in accordance with maintenance and operational requirements. Especially in regards to identifying failure modes, spare parts, and maintenance plans.Provide consultation for mechanical integrity as it relates to OSHA, Dow/DuPont and other global safety institutes. Knowledgeable with non-destructive testing techniques and applications.Conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Developing strategies to replace equipment and facility components at end of life.Develop and write specifications for Reliability work processes to drive strategy and create standardization.Utilization of RCI (Root Cause Investigation) process or similar problem solving techniques. Maintain technical expertise through seminars, trade journals, and contacts with various vendors and industry groups/ associations.Establish project scope and execute with facility engineers, operations/maintenance departments and local leadership as a result of reliability deficiencies found. Approximately 15% of time.Verify project construction activities meet the intent of reliability goals and initiatives.Understand, observe, and assure that all projects adhere to Corteva standards for environmental, safety, security, and loss prevention/reliability principles.Provide technical support and training to the Maintenance and Operations Departments as well as general site departments. QualificationsThe following are required:Bachelors Degree Experience with Computer Maintenance SoftwareExperience with commissioning or retro-commissioning of facilities (energy efficiency evaluations)Ability and willingness to walk site premises and climb ladders with or without reasonable accommodationBasic knowledge of building operations including but not limited to equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, etc. through either work or academic experienceAbility to collaborate effectively with a range of people from internal upper management to maintenance and operations personnel including union and non-union contract labor, companies and managementThe following are preferred:Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline or related fieldCMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)Proficient using CMMS software and experience with the inventory/spare parts functionalityHave a general knowledge of engineering disciplines including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, controls and automation through either work or academic experienceApply for this job.
