As part of the Maintenance Team and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Reliability Specialist is responsible for overall execution and leadership in improving reliability performance of the equipment to world class standards. The successful candidate must be committed to working in a highly safety-conscious team environment and will be expected to use the WHAT (Work Hazard Assessment Tool) Card and Life Critical Permits to identify hazards and develop mitigating remedies. What you will do: Execute and manage the plant’s Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program and make sure the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections, findings, and corrective actions are managed to avoid overdue PHA and PSM action items.Execute the plant’s reliability improvement plan which includes analyses of equipment failures by RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) methodologies and develop mitigating plans for corrective and preventative actionsAssist the Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Planner, and the Senior Operating Supervisor with maintenance planning and budget forecastingAssist the Maintenance Manager, Engineering Managers, Maintenance Planner, and the Senior Operating Supervisor with developing the plant’s long-term maintenance plan and asset management goalsAbility to acquire and secure Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Training like Vibration Analysis, Lubrication, Ultra-Sonic, Infrared Thermography, Equipment Balancing, and Laser-Alignment to ensure all critical equipment have optimal care plans developedServe as an active member of Nutrien’s Reliability Steering Committee providing input for the development of Reliability Best PracticesInstitutionalize a reliability culture throughout the plant site by communicating reliability goals, objectives, and results via Lean Manufacturing MethodologiesWhat you will bring: Four-Year Degree and/or at least 3-5 Years of Commensurate Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Operations ExperienceExcellent interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical, problem solving, and organization competencies and skillsMust possess a mechanical aptitude which may include the rebuilding/troubleshooting of compressors, motors, and pumpsAbility to read, understand, and apply results from Preventative and Predictive Maintenance analyses through experience, training, or direction from a more knowledgeable sourceWorking knowledge of basic process control automation and operation (PLC)Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment and maintenance problemsAbility to use MS Office and SAP to generate work orders and assist the Maintenance Planner with job plan work instructionsAbility to complete and execute WHAT Cards and Life Critical Safe Work Permits to identify hazards and develop mitigating remediesMust have the capacity and potential to learn, perform, and progress into positions of increasing responsibility in the plant like the Maintenance Manager and/or the Senior Operating Supervisor Are you a good match?
