Repair Shop Supervisor-ADM Trucking Facility-Decatur, ILThis is an exempt level position.Position Description:In this role, you would supervise and manage the workforce to reduce indirect labor costs and schedule production for the repair shop according to goals and dispatch needs.Job Responsibilities: Directly supervise production efforts.Communicate effectively with workforce to capture additional labor.Assign work to employees according to their abilities, training and experience.Schedule work flow for shops to be effective.Conduct morning tool box meetings with employees.Conduct disciplinary requirements per guidelines that are consistent with all employees.Eliminate non-productive time for employees by assigning additional job tasks.Communicate production needs with oncoming shift supervisors.Understand and align with EPA, DOT, and Quality Assurance guidelines.Maintain and encourage a safe work environment.Ability to train and motivate employees performing assigned job tasks.Maintain reports on production efforts.Perform Quality Outbound final inspections as needed.Ensure employees are trained in sensitive areas to maintain production flow. Job Requirements:5-10 years? experience working class 8 trucks and trailers.Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Confident and courteous manner.Strong dedication to employee safety.Ability to hear and speak clearly, read, comprehend, and communicate orally and in writing.Position requires standing and walking for long periods of time. Climbing stairs and ladders. Working with tools. Working within close, confined spaces.
