To all recruitment agencies: Bayer does not accept unsolicited third party resumes.Your primary responsibilities as a Research and Development Specialist II are as follows:• Coordination and execution of all agronomic aspects of the yield testing program, at both on-and off site locations, including seed processing, packaging, and field maintenance (planting, thinning, crossing, cultivation, fertility, pest management, irrigation, and harvest);• Assume primary responsibility for operation and maintenance of all field related equipment;• Ensure compliance with all existing safety and regulatory standards in the area of responsibility;• Seed processing and seed storage activities with a continual focus on improvement of methods and efficiency (delinting, ginning, and maintenance of related equipment);• Data collection for field maps, field books, note criteria, and performance test results;• Manage 1-2 direct reports for coordination of these activities. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:• BS Degree with minimum of 2+years relevant experience or MS Degree with minimum years relevant experience, or non-degreed with 10 years relevant experience in Agronomy, Horticulture, Science, Plant Breeding, Biology or related field – agricultural research, cotton research areas are preferred;• Regional knowledge of cotton research and production systems, equipment, and agronomics is needed;• Excellent organizational and human relation skills as well as attention to detail are necessary to perform the duties of the position;• Project a positive Bayer technical image;• Proficient knowledge of personal computers and MS software is also required.
