Learn more at www.adm.com .Research and Quality Assurance Assistant- Indianola, IAThis is a salaried, non-exempt position.General Purpose of the Job:Responsible for quality assurance and quality control in all areas of raw materials and manufactured food products.
Participates in research and development activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with research and development projects. Conduct sampling and testing of raw material, product in process and finished product to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.Perform testing of product using scientific instruments.Work with Quality Assurance department to maintain QA logs.Responsible for product releaseEvaluates acceptance of prototype food products through testing in-house as well as at off-site institutions.Participates in development of food product descriptions, labels and promotional materials.Participates in the fulfilment of sample requests Participates in job related meetings, seminars, expositions and similar events as assignedMaintains laboratory Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Minimum of Associates Degree with a concentration in Chemistry, Biology, or or related science.2 years of experience preferred not mandatory.Reasoning Ability: Ability to work in team environment and solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Technical Skills: Computer; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.ERP system. Other Skills: Detail oriented.Pleasant disposition. Physical Demand: Ability to lift, push, pull 30+ lbs.
Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Environmental Conditions: Working conditions are normal for an office, production and warehouse environment.
In the absence of the QA/QC Technician the responsibilities are covered by the QA/QC Manager.Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
