This role will be located in Arroyo Grande, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work with leading edge technology and talented research scientists seeking to deliver the best in vegetable crop genetics.Primary Responsibilities:Assure company safety guidelines are followed during all research activities by leading and managing safety programsAssist with breeding operations by managing large databases, programs and web-based applicationsOrganize breeding trials and shipments, seed production and inventorySupport breeding management with accurate and precise data collection when required.Create stakes and labels using special programs and printersWork with administrative staff to place orders, manage invoices, sign in visitors and vendors, and file documentsSafety and Compliance: Assure all safety and related policies and procedures are met or exceeded by. Performing job related tasks in a safe manner according to Monsanto policy and procedures Identifying and completing safety training as requiredFollowing Monsanto???s Code of Conduct and holding oneself accountable to required standards Promoting positive image and work environment, both internally and externally.Qualifications:Required Education and Skills/Experience:Must have one of the following: Minimum of Associate???s Degree in a relevant discipline OR Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 2 years of relevant applied agricultural/horticultural experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the capability to clearly present information. Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment to accomplish goals.Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize tasksComputer proficiencies including Microsoft Office and Web-based ApplicationsDesired Education and Skills/Experience:Familiarity with plant breeding methodologies Bilingual (Fluency in Spanish and English)Who is Monsanto?
