It includes analyzing data to provide insight into evaluating retail acquisition targets for case ready conversion, products and customers.?Additionally, this role will focus on top line growth, cost of goods sold efficiencies and shifting from commodity to value added products to align with the NA protein strategy.? This role will work with the Accounting & Finance team to produce accurate and timely financial and management reports for the channel, this position provides analysis and insight on the direction the business should go. The position is expected to proactively challenges the status quo. The FP&A is not responsible for data collection processes, producing budgets, reports or forecasts. This is where an effective relationship with the Accounting and Finance teams is necessary.? This role will work with the Retail President as well as commercial and supply chain.? This role will represent the Financial topics to the Channel President, and participate on appropriate business leadership teams.? This position will be partnering with the retail commercial leaders to shape and drive the execution of segment and customer strategies as NA protein embarks upon our new Strategy to earn $500 million in AOE by 2020.? The Retail FP&A channel lead will be expected to help transform the finance organization within NA protein from the current state of business units to our future state of channel alignment by working with the channel president and FP&A Group Lead to ensure a smooth transition..?This critical role will be the finance interface to the channel. Building strong relationships within the function and channel will be critical for value creation opportunities. Enhance scenario planning analysis for strategic planning activities of the retail channel.
Identify and drive value within retail business (stretch targets). Measured by profit improvement (wider margins), lower cost and driving performance. Focus management on most critical risks and opportunities.
Drive Cost to Serve analysis and sales effectiveness measurements to optimize performance
Ensure that customer pricing recommendations align with value based pricing model on a continuous basis always looking for opportunities to margin up.

Demonstrates an application of broad/diverse commercial knowledge with understanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.
Supports the enterprise/business with new business activities and issues resolution, including MADJV, business transactions, tax and customs issues, monitoring the performance of the new acquired business etc. and liaising with legal and other cross-functional departments as necessary.
Understands, translates, and provides insight into business performance compared to competitor & industry trends. Ability to connect the dots.
Partner closely with the other functions and business managers to ensure strategies are accomplished.
Provides financial and change leadership by actively participating in high level retail business strategy planning. Provides necessary support to accomplish plans/strategy.
