SUMMARY: This position is responsible for tracking and keying documentation for compliance with governmental law and Tyson policies as it relates to environmental, health and safety issues. Position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the Department of Transportation as it relates to drivers files (monthly safety compliance letters, expiring renewable, transportation standards etc.) Responsibilities include: entering information into the ECAT system; entering and tracking information in SAP; filing and documenting training; ensuring accuracy and updating required policies; tracking of wastewater licenses; tracking motor vehicle registrations, drivers files and drivers physicals; posting necessarynotices and scheduling required training and any other duties that may arise. Additional responsibilities will involve impairment notifications, safety/en vironmental walkthroughs, maintaining minutes of safety committee and environmental committee related items (ergonomic, PSM, Fire Force, water conservation, etc.), assist department supervisors with safety related paperwork and filing, aiding in the completion of accident investigations, following up on corrective actions,aid in monitoring of trends and trend analysis, aiding in the maintenance of job safety analysis development and implementation, assist in documenting ergonomic improvements, assist in updating and maintaining MSDS books, aid in maintenanceof plans and procedures related to (evacuation, spill response, storm water management, environmental health and safety management systems), follow up to ensure all pre-safety walkthroughs and start-ups are done on a daily basis, and assist the safety manager with supervisor monthly safety and environmental topics. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Requires knowledge of high school subject matter such as mathematics, grammar, office equipment and business practices. Knowledge is normally acquired by four years of high school, a vocational school or equivalent. Experience: 2+ years of experience. Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills and the Tyson Business Computer System which requires an understanding of thesystem features and how to use these features.
