Safety, Health and Environmental team, is looking for:Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Supervisor This role represents a unique opportunity to lead the Cedar Rapids SHE team at our large scale bioprocessing facility. As a member of the plant management team, this role will utilize your technical background and people management skills to lead the SHE team and effectively deliver on people performance, as well as oversee all site safety, health and environmental needs. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of safety, health and environmental practices, a can-do attitude, strong problem solving capability, excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills. Primary responsibilities in this role would include:In concert with the site, sets the overall strategic site SHE goals and milestones/deliverables in accordance with the annual corporate and IB business directives and commitmentsProvides leadership to five direct report employees, along with facilitating career development, performance goals and feedback discussions Fosters an environment with open communication and feedback Works closely with upper management and key stakeholders to ensure that the site operations are conducted in accordance with our core values around Safety, Health and the EnvironmentResponsible for managing site SHE programs, which includes compliance with Business and Corporate SHE standards and guidelines. Programs will include but are not limited to process safety management, EPA???s risk management program, emergency/ crisis management, waste water, solid waste, hazardous waste, air emissions, storm water, enzyme safety, confined space entry, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, fall protection, contractor safety, emergency response, hazard communication, hearing conservation, personal protective equipment, injury/illness prevention and medical surveillance.Responsible for SHE oversight of capital project design review, commissioning and start-up.Responsible for oversight of industrial hygiene monitoring activitiesResponsible for implementation of the current site SHE integration plan which will include site assessments and audits by 2nd party reviewers, as well as adjusting priorities in accordance with operations and other stakeholders directivesInteracts with regulatory agencies to assess and determine site regulatory requirements Leads the site Safety Committee and Emergency Response TeamsEvaluates SHE implications of site process changes, and participates in site project teams as appropriateResponsible for creating and managing annual SHE budgetActs as the Management Representative for the site ISO 14001 certificationActive member of the Global IB SHE teamQualifications:Bachelor???s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, or related field. Master???s Degree highly regarded.4-7 years of experience in SHE, preferably in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated functional/technical expertise of federal and state safety and environmental regulationsSelf-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to independently complete tasks and work well in a team environmentExcellent communication skills and the desire to work with a multidisciplinary teamHighly motivated with strong problem solving skills Safety, health and environmental risk management and prioritization, including process safety skills are requiredAbility to effectively manage hazard recognitionDemonstrated knowledge of industrial hygiene general principles and monitoringDemonstrated knowledge of Process Safety Management Knowledge of control methodologiesAbility to anticipate, plan, develop, implement, audit, and improve systems and processesKnowledge of ISO 14001Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite products, including ExcelSome travel requiredApply for this job.
