Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager
NATURE OF WORK:Responsible for plant and food safety program development and trainingEnvironmental compliance RESPONSIBILITIES:Personal and plant environmental and safety program development, which complies with all federal, state, and local laws. Ensures that the safety program is properly managed at St. Joseph facility. This includes enhancing manuals and plans.Ensure all employees are trained on personal and plant safety requirements at St. Joseph facility.Ensure all employees are trained in hazardous waste requirements.Ensure environmental program compliance with all federal, state and local laws. All reports and permits are to be completed before due dates.Work with different regulatory agencies to establish working relationship.Other functions as required (non-essential functions)Acts as an emergency coordinator.Ensures wastewater effluents meet local and state wastewater discharge standards.Responsible for recycling programs of solid wastes, paper, residue, fluorescent lamp, etc.Ensure outside agency inspections are efficient, documentation is available for the inspector.RCRA Hazardous Waste Responsibilities ??? Waste determination, profiling, labels, inspection, arranging for disposal shipment, shipment paperwork and paperwork retention.Ensure adherence to all management systems including, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and Food Safety, with an understanding of DuPont Nutrition & Health's Quality and Environmental Policies and procedures.
