We currently have an opportunity as an Environment Safety and Health Technician. This position will be located in Woodland CA. The technician will help lead the sites ESH programs including industrial hygiene, worker protection standards, lockout/tagout, vehicle/forklift safety, PPE, elevated work, confined space, fire protection, air permit compliance, hazardous waste, occupational medicine and other OSHA/Monsanto safety programs. Help lead training, audits, and educational initiatives across the site related to ESH. Work across multiple levels of leadership and the Monsanto corporate ESH team to ensure alignment of site policies and programs. Work with the team to write and train on all site specific environmental, safety policies, procedures and forms for the site. Manage the sites industrial hygiene programs including respirator use and hearing conservation. Ensure contractors are qualified to be on the site and conduct work in progress audits. Participate in site CAPEX projects by conducting ESH reviews and ensuringpre-startup checklists are adhered to. Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience:Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 5 years related experience in Environmental Safety & HealthExcellent communication skills both oral and written Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)The ability to lead and influence others across multiple teams to implement policy, programs and changes in the ESH fieldStrong organizational, coordination, planning and problem solving skillsResults/Detail oriented able to work with a sense of urgencyRegulatory knowledge in ES&H, Fed and Cal OSHA & building codesAbility to analyze data and complete regulatory permits and correspondenceAbility to adapt quickly to changes in the businessDesired Skills/Experience:Experience in a wide variety of safety programs.Knowledge of greenhouses and facility/farm equipment a plus.Ability to read/write/speak Spanish a plus.Lean/Six sigma trainingProject management experienceCSP AccreditationApply for this job.
