Sales Account Manager (Foodservice)
SUMMARY: As a contributing team member, the Sales Account Manager will report directly into a Director of Sales (DOS) or a Food Service Sales Executive. The position will have regular interactions with the DOS and other regional sales managers while focused primarily on mid-tier distributors and operators. This person will be accountable for negotiating contracts and prioritizing efforts against plan with minimal direction. This position is expected to work cross functionally with various business units and trade teams to protect and defend the core business, create a competitive advantage, while attaining mix and volume targets within our value added product tiers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and nurture professional relationships with key FS distributor and operator customers within specific markets while possibly managing a broker. Work directly with division brokers to increase product knowledge and implement sales strategies. Manage all strategic initiatives; maintain and further develop business relationships with the distributors or operators leadership teams to achieve business objectives. Work with division brokers, business units and trade teams to deliver and manage against sales plans by managing marketing programs, expense management, deduction resolution, category management, and reviews with customers. Create and execute against a list of top operators and/or distributors, which includes details of the operator, size, opportunity and next steps. Enforce and manage. Provide sales support at trade shows, distributor sales meetings, and broker sales meetings. This may include, but is not limited to: Product training, product serving, presenting key features and benefits.
