CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large member cooperative in north central Colorado to find an experienced Sales Agronomist to be part of their dynamic team. Our ideal candidate will be a customer facing individual for developing new business potential while retaining old business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Frequent sales calls to develop relationships and learn customer needs and offer correct solutions.Sound recommendations from knowledge of crop nutrients, crop protection, seed and insect/disease management.Create and assist in implementation of new products, new processes, and new programs intended to mutually benefit the producer and coop.Forecast fertilizer and chemical needs and coordinate with Director of Sales on purchasing, pricing, and programs.Maintain records of sales contacts and submit reports on a regular basis.Keep detailed records of all transactions, maps, soil tests, etc. to the highest standard applicable.Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.Be responsible for keeping or attaining needed credentials for the position.Keep current on industry safety regulations and company policies as specified in the employee handbook, and abide by the same.Keeps records and files reports on use of pesticides and special use of chemicals as required by law.Schedules seminars and meetings to update producers on changes in product registrations and environmental laws.Performs other duties or assignments as directed by V.P. of Agronomy or Agronomy Sales Manager. Qualifications:B.S. in agronomy or related field; Certified Crop Advisor Certification or a minimum of 4 years in an agricultural sales or related field.Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of crop production, – vegetables, dry land, and irrigated. Must have some knowledge of ornamental tree and turf production and maintenance.Must have good math skills and computer skills.Ability to frequently transport up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 pounds.Must have and maintain a current Commercial Pesticide Applicators License issued by the State of Colorado. Must become CCA certified within four years. Must maintain a clean MVR.
