This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.?QUALIFICATIONS:- 4-year Agronomy or other Ag-Related degree required- Solid, technical Agronomy knowledge- Agronomy sales experience with solid customer relationship skills- Strong communication skills- Experience with forages and grasses a real plus- Some supervisory experience with solid ability to train others in product knowledge and provide mentoring to territory sales representatives- Ability to assist Media Specialist with design and advertising of employer products- Ability to keep Employer apprised of current trends in the marketplace with ability to help forecast seed production and seed acquisition need- Clean driving record with ability to travel periodically out to regions and to trade shows 4-5 times per year??JOB DESCRIPTION:Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Established Seed Manufacturer in finding an experienced Sales Agronomist to work from their headquarters in Kansas. Primary responsibilities of this role will include:-Providing sales staff and customers with agronomic information as it pertains to the company product mix- Fielding customer sales calls- Assisting the media specialist in design and implementation of internet, broadcast and print advertising efforts as well as promotional, customer technical support and public relations initiatives.- Advising company management in forecasting future seed production and seed acquisition needs.In addition, this Sales Agronomist will spend time with the outside sales staff in the geographic regions of their responsibility. It is important that this Sales Agronomist have the ability to communicate effectively, train staff regarding product knowledge, build a team approach with staffers, and maintain strong relations with the company?s customer base. General agronomic principles and familiarity with central and southern plains farming, ranching and livestock production, including chemical uses is crucial to this position.
