We currently have a Sales and Training Development Manager position available on the East Coast in the following states: FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV, DE, MD, PA, NY, CT, RI, MA, ME, VT, NH, AL, TN, KY, MI, OH. SUMMARY Develops, organizes and conducts corporate and field training programs involving product and portfolio education, selling skills development and program introductions for operators, distributors, brokers and Simplot Field/internal representatives. Supports the development of the Marketing Team, direct and consultative sales organization and helps provide a broader knowledge base of the needs of the operators. Supports both Sales and Marketing disciplines to maximize synergies. Focus is to provide skills to facilitate increased profitability across the Simplot Food Group portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops, organizes and facilitates training programs across identified segments that improve Simplots Food Groups penetration within these segments.* Develops, organizes and facilitates Simplot Universities and ad-hoc programs to support Simplots Food Group, key business needs. Training includes but is not limited to: commercial and non-commercial segments, distributors, brokers, key operators, and internal support staff.* Organizes, facilitates and supports the development of training for all new product launches across the United States. This involves training all Simplot and broker staff and providing key training materials to ensure that the sales team is provided with the marketing tools, market research, samples and knowledge to penetrate the desired target markets quickly and effectively.* Partners to determine the needs of Simplots Sales organization including both internal and external representatives to support the development of appropriate training programs to improve Simplots Food Group the ability to penetrate high priority segments and create a totally educated, qualified, aligned and engaged work force.* Partners to determine the needs of the operator customers and distributors and support the development and execution of customized training programs to fill these needs with product demonstrations and training on specific selling techniques. Enhance Simplots position as a manufacturer of choice for the entire portfolio of products and gain recognition as a leader in training in the food service industry.
REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university* Five plus years related experience and/or training. * Must be able to blend strong product knowledge with a thorough understanding of sales and customer development methods. * Must be able to understand and apply audit learning theories. * Must be able to train customers and peers, and be able to train trainers.
