An industry-leading manufacturer of Agricultural equipment has a great opportunity for the right person! This company is seeking a professional, energetic and detail oriented person who is ready to step up into their Sales Manager role.This position will report directly to the President as part of the management team, and is a salaried plus incentive position. The Sales Manager will have direct management/leadership responsibility over Territory Managers and other sales related positions. Responsibilities: * Responsible for sales goal setting and sales and marketing budgeting for the company * Creating national and regional sales and marketing programs and campaigns * Make overall dealer development plans * Plan national shows and regional dealer meetings * Lead individual Territory Managers in development of their assigned territories and achieving the territory goals for both retail sales and order writing * Be able to assist Territory Managers structuring financing deals for their dealers customers * Assist in obtaining orders/retails and managing inventory with Territory Managers on their assigned territories * Ensure that warranty registrations are being completed and submitted in a timely fashion * Provide feedback and recommendations on quarterly programs * Meet and/or exceed expectations and be a strong positive influence to help the sales team achieve goals * Help Territory Managers implement dealer development and market development projects * Assist Territory Managers with dealers customer meetings, field days, service trainings, as well as farm shows or other proactive events in their regions * Perform Territory Managers performance reviews regularly along with development of action plans with the Territory Managers to continually help build their performance * Review implementation of action plans regularly and adjust as needed to ensure peak performance * Work with other departments in a team spirit to make things happen, drive sales, but not over commit Professional qualifications * Preference for a degree in sales and marketing and/or a strong technical background in agronomy, or related field
* Substantial, overall managerial experience preferably within a sales and marketing organization * Minimum of five years of direct experience in sales through dealers and/or distributors – specifically in the North American market offering a capital goods product with a high profile or brand image – either within agricultural equipment or a closely related industry – a plus would also be experience in direct retail sales to end users. Retail sales and dealer sales experience a strong plus Personal qualifications: * Broad knowledge of the North American agricultural industry * Good understanding of a company”s total P&L “set-up” and structure * High energy level and a strong desire to succeed * Comfortable working in a responsible position involving employees in other countries with different cultures * Goal and results-oriented; ability to demonstrate a positive attitude at all times * Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead by example in a fast paced environment * Mentally tough, but able to accept change and new ideas * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point * Good understanding of retail and wholesale finance and how to structure deals for success * Documented sales success and growth in prior position(s) * Understand and administer company policies and procedures * Ability and willingness to travel as needed * Be competent with social media channels and how to employ them for sales success Success criteria”s * Restructure the dealer set-up and performance level * Develop further the companies brand awareness in the market * Optimize the Territory Managers performance and focus * Get the organization closer to the end user * Increase market share and margin Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
