This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.??QUALIFICATIONS:?B.S in Business Management or Animal ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in direct on farm sales or the equivalent direct business experience.Will consider a High School diploma and at least 7 years of direct farm sales experience will be considered.Demonstrated history of strong direct sales results and new business development (Ability to sell).Ability to effectively manage a defined territory, plan a weekly schedule and organize multiple activities within a large geographic area.Familiar with dairy farms and dairy farming practices.Highly self-motivated and able to work within a well-defined system.Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial capacity.Working knowledge of “consumable” type dairy supplies.Excellent communications skillsUnderstanding of product logistics especially for feed and agronomy products.Demonstrated proficiency with the use of Microsoft Outlook, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, MapPoint and PowerPoint.?JOB DESCRIPTION:?Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large agribusiness who is?seeking an experienced Sales Manager. ?Objective of this position is to generate on farm sales of products and services offered through this company?by selling the company's?program, developing trusted consultative associations, and meaningful “business-to-business” relationships with dairy farm owners and prospective customers. ?This position will cover the Mid-East Region including Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. ?Responsible for all aspects of the consultative sales process including current and new customer education as it relates to products and services. This “business-to-business” sales professional will target prospective accounts for new business, maintain an existing territory of business, as well as establish and work with company's?supplier partners. ?Will generate new business opportunities through established and creative methods of market research that result in new products and services to offer members. ?Sales Manager?will be expected to expand the existing territory by educating customers with greater than 300 cows about the value of company's program. ?Sales Manager must be comfortable selling a business concept as well as technical dairy inputs/products to all levels of farm management. ?Work collaboratively with company's?central support team, fellow Sales Managers and field staff to address customer?needs. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete line of company's?products and services to include, but not limited to, milking supplies, barn equipment and feed commodities. Sales Manager?will?oversee all aspects of the sales function and related activities for a large geographic territory. This position will coordinate and attend farm shows, meetings and other events as necessary.
