Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Sales Representative is responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assist branch customers with proper product selection and use based agronomic needs, and maintain and develop profitable customer relationships. This position also requires other critical participation in warehousing, inventory, deliveries and office responsibilities.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:Ability to work independently with minimum supervisionWillingness to travelMinimum of five years? experience in the greens industryBachelor?s degree or higher in Agriculture or Business-related field is preferredBe able to lift heavy packages as well as move 55 gal drums of product?Key Personal Attributes Include:Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups with an ability to lead and influenceDetail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyGood interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with field personnel, peers and customers?Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Manage and maintain customer baseIdentify new key customers, understand their business, determine their needs and develop plans and actions for sales territory growth.Communicate with management the initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans.Point person for managing the support resources for the territory including value added nutrition, branded products, seed, purchasing and technology and overseeing the implementation and success of the plans and objectives with branch personnel.Assist in sales territory forecasting and analysis.Responsible for following credit policies and managing risk for the companyParticipate in development of annual business plan that optimizes growth and profitability for the territory.Implement marketing and sales plans; establish and meet sales goals; and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunitiesBuild product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibilityLoading and unloading of product, maintaining inventory of products, assist in keeping warehouse and inventory organized and neat.Assist in maintaining maintenance records on all equipment, trucks and forklifts.Organize and make deliveries of products to customers, be able to handle 55-gallon drums as well as 50 to 70 lb. packages. Fill out required paperwork on delivery trucks.Work with office personnel, make delivery tickets and maintain proper paperwork for all deliveries.
