You will own your own work and find innovative ways to deliver on our vision of feeding the world responsibly while working along beside 15,000 people around the globe who care about you.Reporting to the Sales Manager, SE Atlantic Region the Sales Representative will create demand and enhance brand awareness of Agriums Rainbow fertilizer. The Sales Rep will need to demonstrate the value of Agriums Wholesale product. This rolewill work within the defined territory ofTennessee and will require extensive travel throughout this state.Agrium is looking for a Sales Representative on a 6 month Contractfor the following areas; Alabama, Tennessee,Georgia, North Carolina.Key Tasks:- Make sales calls to retail customers and growers to enhance Rainbow sales volumes in the targeted region- Establish and maintain relationships with existings customers, Growers, REtailers, Crop Consultants, andColleges/Universities- Develop new prospects and interact with customers to increase sales of products in order to meet and exceed sales goals- Coordinate and present at retail and grower meetings, and conduct on farmproduct trials- Represent Agrium Wholesale at local and regional meetings and trade showsTheIdeal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.Skills:- Strong drive for sales achievement and strong influencing skills among multiple stakeholder- Capable of leading complex discussions through consensus and influence- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Solution-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers and team members and influence decision makers at ag retailers and farm operations- Strong selling, influencing and problem solving skills- Requires excellent time management skills with proven ability to consistently balance risk/reward- Possesses ability to juggle and prioritize numerous requests simultaneously- Passion for finding new and innovative solutions to help growers grow bigger, healthier crop- Ability to travel extensively and work autonomously within defined territoryQualifications:- Min 5-10 years experienced sales professional with a proven sales track record in agriculture, rural or related field- Formal education (certificate, diploma) in Agriculture, Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience – an undergraduate degree would be considered an asset- Motivated self-starter with results and solution orientation and the ability to sustain a professional growth strategy while working independent- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Knowledge and experience in Agronomy and crop fertility- Knowledge of the crops/soil/precipitation in the target territory- Knowledge of field operations and application methods- Highly developed customer service skills with a proven ability to develop strong client relationships- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and travel defined territoryWhy Agrium?Winning together; Our Cultivating Excellence culture coupled with great people and delivering superior results with integrity is what sets Agrium apart from other career opportunities.
