Sales Representative – Western U.S.
Ball Horticultural Company excels in the research, breeding, production and distribution of seed and vegetative plant products. Established in many countries around the globe, Ball is known for superior varieties supplied as seed, plugs, young plants and cuttings.To further our business objectives, our Ball Seed Company has an opportunity for a Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling our broad product line to both established and prospective customers. The position is in a sales territory in the Western United States. The successful Sales Representative will become a partner with their customers to understand their business needs and goals, assist them in selecting the right product offerings, and provide value-added service in all areas of their businesses. In addition, the Sales Representative will make sales calls on prospective companies/customers.Ideal candidates will have a Horticulture degree and a minimum 3 years greenhouse experience. Applicants must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office-based programs. In addition, candidates must possess strong self-motivation and a desire to succeed along with proven organizational and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail is a must, as well as excellent follow-up.Extensive travel will be required within the territory, and applicants must be willing and able to travel and visit with existing customers several days per week, as well as willing to work under a goal-oriented commission structure.Apply for this job.
