The Land OLakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the companys many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land OLakes business units, members and customers.
As a Sanitation Specialist this individual is accountable for sanitation efforts in our cheese manufacturing facility in Melrose, MN, you are responsible for management and coordination of the sanitation processes involved in the manufacturing of barrel cheese and bi-products to consistently and reliably meet Land O Lakes standards and customer requirements. Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvements including employee safety, regulatory requirements, cost reduction, etc.
This individual will fully support all programs including LQMS, BRC, LPS and LMS. Upholds and demonstrates the company values and vision. Adhere to all guidelines addressed in the Management Responsibility Program. Ensure all activity associated with Sanitation is being completed and will develop/modify the schedule for all sanitation activity. This position will require an individual to work across production shifts.
We are seeking a B.S Degree in Food/Dairy Science, Micro Biology, Chemistry, or related field. Successful candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of Food/Beverage experience within a manufacturing setting.
-Experience providing sanitation and/or quality leadership in a food processing production/shift environment
-Experience conducting regular sanitation inspections and audits of products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards
-Compiling reports regarding regular inspection, sanitation violations, and taking steps taken to resolve deficiencies -Demonstrated knowledge of managing costs
-Demonstrated problem solving and corrective action execution skills
-Quality systems and programs experience with a preventative focus
-Ability to facilitate change and involve employees to continually improve manufacturing processes

Hours: Primarily 7 AM – 5 PM. Occasional Off shift hours may be required.
