The Land OLakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the companys many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land OLakes business units, members and customers.
Provides leadership and guidance in the areas of sanitation, sanitary design, risk analysis and HACCP Operational Pre-Requisite Programs and be a liaison to the Quality Department as needed. Primarily responsible to support all phases of sanitation, sanitary design and pathogenic environmental risk control for the Spencer facility. Ultimately is responsible to understand, communicate and lead sanitation programs and ensure all sanitation activities are being performed in an effective manner at the Spencer Facility. The position will interact with operations at all levels, corporate QA and R&D and be a vital contributor to Land O'Lakes, Inc. sanitation and food safety programs for the site.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.
Must be able to work adjustable work schedules within a 24/7 operation.
-BS/BA degree or higher in Food Microbiology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or related technical field
-2 plus years of technical experience in food safety, quality assurance, sanitation programs, or food processing (minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment)
-Sanitation systems experience; including CIP experience
-Proficient in sanitation program management and metrics; State, FDA, USDA regulations; dairy CIP sanitation and microbiology, HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems -Proficient with the concepts of hazard analysis, risk assessments, sanitation, continuous improvement and system/process application
-Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and team interaction skills
-Highly motivated, self-directed and a self-starter
-Ability to be flexible with hours; occasional shift work required
-Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
-Able to write reports, business correspondence and standard operating procedures (SOP)
-Dairy/ Food / Cheese experience
