SAP Applications Manager ? Finance
Position Overview:The SAP Applications Manager is responsible for the solution design, build, support, integrity and management of the technologies within the Finance domain for the SAP portfolio serving Cargill?s global business Enterprises.? As a strong partner to the Business & Corporate Functions, the Applications Manager understands business challenges and opportunities and works to lead the design, enablement and continuous business support of solutions to meet the established business outcomes.?
?The position requires a strategic leader who can partner effectively across Global IT and with third-party partners; be an expert in financial and functional business processes and standard SAP applications that support those processes; and has a demonstrated ability of understanding the critical integration with Global Function leads, IT Portfolio leads, Business Partner(s), SAP portfolio owners, RDCs, Enterprise & Solution Architecture, Global/Regional process owners, Non-SAP business application leaders and Application domain leaders.? You will be a strategic leader in facilitating alignment with business/function & IT stakeholders regarding the SAP ERP S4 HANA transformation and close collaboration with the S4 Central Finance application management strategy.
?You will be responsible to ?build, develop and maintain a high performing team that delivers on all aspects of the Finance solutions offered by the SAP portfolio that encompasses the following areas applied to the FIBI Enterprise: Financial Accounting, Asset Management, Costing/Profitability, AR/AP, management and process controls.

Define, document, maintain and communicate clear and unambiguous roles and responsibilities.Deliver timely & effective performance feedback.Proactively coach employees in career/performance development.Execute employee management processes (including staffing decisions, coaching, development plans, performance evaluations).Establish & lead a culture of engagement and empowerment in which team members develop & apply their talents while enabling work/life choice.Support, encourage & facilitate collaboration & communication between teams.Demonstrate & reinforce Cargill?s Guiding Principles & Cargill Leadership Expectations.Management of the financial planning and budgeting within the ERP team.25% – Application Design Management:Provide thought leadership in support of deployment projects as well as all other projects within the areas of responsibility.Coordinating closely with Cargill Business Services and managed services to ensure software development fulfills requirements of the business and stated business case.Accountable for the integrity of the solution in the areas of responsibility, and as such driving for the right governance of changes to the functionality and capabilities delivered through the solution.Accountable for successful solution confirmation, design, build and test of application development deliverables in alignment with the SAP Instance Solution Roadmaps.? Manage resource supply/demand and lead resolution of resourcing capacity conflict.Align with other Global SAP teams and Business Application portfolios to further drive for standardization on IT processes and leveraging work across the Functional areasAlign with Enterprise Solution Management teams ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, established business outcomes and target/reference architecture, while maintaining the flexibility to add value at the instance level through Solution Architecture supported by the Global SAP Architecture team.? ? ??25% – Application Maintenance and Support Management:Manage the application maintenance and support processes for the Finance application area.Responsible for the shared ERP Portfolio capability and solutions deployed within the Business and Corporate Finance area and engage appropriately to ensure business continuity.Lead and incorporate industry best practices for continuous improvement, escalated incident management and User enablement within the team.Ensure successful execution of sponsored projects, proactive maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades keeping the SAP Instances operationally excellent across the shared SAP application services.? ? ??10% – Continuous Improvement:Ensure that depth and breadth of knowledge of the Finance area is maintained to provide appropriate support in the enablement of technology solutions.Ensure the different functional teams in the Finance area are focused on continuous improvementProcess efficiency improvements that benefits the business and/or the IT organizationNew functionality and capabilities from innovation perspective are evaluated and if applicable appliedIdeation and innovation in the SAP finance domain through continuous learning, education and curiosity.Skills:
Required Qualifications:Bachelor?s Degree10 years of SAP or Business Finance experience in an IT environmentExperience with managing a highly skilled and diverse team of IT professionalsFunctional and/or technical experience with SAP in one or more of the following: FICO, COPA, AP/AR, Credit and cash collection, S4 Central financeExperience with ITIL proceduresAble to travel regionally and globally up to 25%Success Attributes:Ability to translate business process requirements into process, data and technology solutionsDemonstrated ability to use current processes, standards / technologies, as well as create new solutions to meet business needsOverall knowledge of solution and application architecture methodologiesKnowledge of integration between different applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization, including the ability to communicate technical and business information to both technical and non-technical audiencesProven and demonstrated conflict management, influencing, negotiation and consulting skillsAbility to manage ambiguous situationsAbility to manage multiple priorities within a service environmentDemonstrated commitment to uphold internal controlsInternational perspective and ability to operate effectively across culturesTransformational Leadership skills
