The SAP Functional Lead will be responsible for the automation of business processes through development and support of SAP IS-Retail.? Responsibility for defining the business process resides with the business process owners and the application vendors providing industry solutions.? The SAP Functional Lead contributes in a technology role which spans the software development lifecycle of requirements, analysis, design, build, test, deployment, administration, and support.

Key development activities include
Configuring Article/Material Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) in SAP IS-Retail
Interacting with the JBS SAP Architect and FI/CO functional leads
Working the JBS security and basis teams
Interacting with the JBS Master Data Management team
Implementing architectural guidance and vendor best practices
Driving out-of-the-box system implementation with minimal customization
Ensuring business justification is approved for complexity and investments in customization
Developing manual workarounds for business process steps not supported through automation
Engaging and managing third party delivery partners
Configuring functionality
Ensuring approved interfaces are successfully implemented
Ensuring compliance and security objectives are met
Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans to ensure that systems support business needs
Developing documentation for standard IT processes used to manage the environments
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment among projects and resolve dependencies
Managing issues and conflicts to resolution
Presenting to sponsors and executive leadership
Delivering intended outcomes and benefits

Key support activities include
Implementing appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Detecting, analyzing, identifying, and correcting defects and deficiencies
Ensuring manual workarounds are successfully executed
Assisting and training users

Building strong relationships with business process owners, vendors, and other stakeholders
Being open minded and actively listening to process owners and subject matter experts directing implementation efforts.
Performing as a consistent champion of process and best practices
Working from conceptual guidance rather than prescriptive direction where process is not defined
Continually contributing toward the advancement of the business
Maintaining a working knowledge of JBS? software development methodology
