At Simplot, were in the business of Bringing Earths Resources to Life. We currently have an SAP MDG Engineer position available at Simplot's headquarters in Boise, ID. The J.R. Simplot Company is transforming its digital capabilities by implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Our digital transformation is about building the foundation for standardized processes and technology across the enterprise to create a competitive advantage and strengthen the companys long-term presence in food and agriculture.
SUMMARYDefines and implements the SAP MDG technology. Works with Governance, Business Partners, and ST to ensure that MDG is properly configured and operating for the Enterprise. Establishes technical guidelines, principals, standards and policies in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture for SAP MDG. Acts as the Enterprise subject matter expert for SAP MDG.
RESPONSIBILITIES MDG Tech Strategy: 30%Develop and maintain roadmap for the data management & governance solutions, ensuring it reflects the current and future business needs, aligned with industry, SAP best practices and solution roadmap in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture Develop, maintain and follow guidelines, principles, policies, standards, reference models and best practices for all matters related to SAP/ERP data management & governance related process and data architecture MDG Technology Operations: 70%Coordinate with technical teams to design, develop, test and deploy MDG solutions. Conducts business and technical impact analysis of proposed application changes. Supports the implementation of business solutions across multiple subject areas. Provides training and support of the SAP MDG application. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate & collaborate with both business and technical teams required.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree from 4 year college or universityTen plus years related experience and/or training.Experience with SAP MDGExperience in MDG Process modeling, Change Request setup and Change Request step definition based on requirementsData Analysis ExperienceProcess Analysis ExperienceGeneral SQL and Database UnderstandingABAP Programming ExperienceETL Technology Experience Desired Abilities:Experience with S/4 HANAKnowledge across a wide variety of MDG Domains (i.e. Material, Customer, Vendor, Financials)Experience with SAP Information StewardAdheres to all standards, policies, and systems as appropriate.Combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered for this position
