We?re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.?Responsibilities:?? ?Main Purpose of Position:We are seeking a Fixed-Duration Associate Peptide Chemist to join our peptide Lead Optimization group and aid in the discovery and development of therapeutic peptides for animal health. ?The successful candidate will have a direct impact on how various peptides are optimized for product development. ?This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the discovery and development of next-generation peptide therapeutics for animal health. ?The successful candidate will work full-time on peptide targets for ELANCO Animal Health, the animal health division of Eli Lilly and Company, but will be located with the peptide Lead Optimization group at Lilly in Indianapolis.Enthusiastic and highly motivated synthetic chemists with a desire to transition to the area of peptide therapeutics are welcome to apply. ?Key Leadership Responsibilities:?Proactively search for solutions.Identify and utilize methods to deliver individual objectives in a high quality, timely, cost-effective manner.Provide information to facilitate accurate and timely project and budget forecasts.??Key Technical Responsibilities:Use state-of-the-art peptide synthesis techniques to enable compound generation, analyze structure-activity relationships, and make recommendations for paths forward.?Maintain close collaboration with fellow peptide chemists and Lilly and ELANCO scientists in other disciplines in a team environment that is focused on achieving success.Communicate effectively across scientific disciplines and organizations.Basic Qualifications:?? ?Bachelor degree1 year of industry experienceQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
